Our diabetic specialist offers support with all aspects of diabetes including emergency care, diagnosis, treatment and management of diabetes-related complications.

We also support diabetes patients who are being treated in other specialties including caring for pregnant women with Type 1, 2 or gestational diabetes.

If you are newly diagnosed, it can feel daunting to navigate all the information about your condition and how to maintain the right level of insulin. We’ll make sure you know exactly what you need to do so that you can still enjoy your day-to-day activities without missing out. 

Our team at the MSG and at the PEH work closely together to coordinate and manage your care. We run training programmes in the use of modern diabetes technology and managing your diabetes. We have close links with the dietetics team at the PEH so that you have the knowledge and skills to manage your diabetes successfully. And Carrie Eddie, the specialist podiatrist, is at the weekly PEH complex diabetes foot wound clinic to ensure a whole team specialist approach to your care.
