The menopause is a natural transition that affects many aspects of women’s health and well-being as they age. The MSG offer a fast, private menopause support service with our senior Consultant Gynaecologists who are experts in HRT (Hormone Replacement Therapy) and can offer a wider range of treatment options, including oestrogen and testosterone implants optimised to your specific needs.
Feel heard and understood
We understand that menopause can be a challenging time for some. Symptoms can vary enormously, leaving many women feeling isolated and frightened.
We’re here to ensure you feel heard by people who not only understand what you’re going through but have the specialist expertise to get you better.
STEP ONE
Understanding
To begin, book an appointment for an initial one to one consultation with a Specialist of your choice, either online or by making a call. During this detailed consultation, we’ll explore your symptoms and medical history. We’ll take you through the various options available, including HRT implants and address any concerns you may have.
Personalised Plan
From here, we’ll establish a tailored management plan for effective treatment, including ways to adopt an optimal lifestyle. Where appropriate, our Medical Specialist will prescribe specific HRT treatment or other medications that are right for you and your particular needs. We’ll summarise this plan for you and send the details to you and your GP.
STEP TWO
Follow-up
We’ll plan in an appointment at an appropriate time after your initial one. Sometimes a bloodtest might be desirable, but not for all patients. If a patient has suffered abnormal vaginal bleeding, then an internal vaginal pelvic ultrasound scan would also be booked and planned in.
Adjust
We’ll use the data from the tests and your feedback to check the effectiveness of the treatment and adjust where necessary. We’ll summarise this plan for you and send the details to you and your GP.
STEP THREE
Continuing care & ongoing support
We are committed to supporting and fine-tuning your care for as long as you need and can to continue to see you as needed or on an annual basis if your condition and symptoms are stable or until your symptoms are managed to your satisfaction.
If at any point things don’t feel right, please just get in touch.
Costs for the private menopause service
The initial consultation is £380 (and this is sometimes covered by insurance, depending on the symptoms shown and the nature of the insurance held)
The medication costs will vary depending on what is prescribed and it’s strength.
