Liz joined the MSG in 2011, initially working full time in the cardiology department, having trained and worked as a cardiac nurse in Bristol for ten years. While in Bristol she also spent two years running a laser eye surgery clinic which sparked her interest in Ophthalmology.
After having her children, she moved to the outpatient department and then to 0phthalmology as a bank nurse, which has enabled her to create a work/life balance.
I enjoy being part of the ophthalmology team and being proficient in all the diagnostic tests that patients require . Due to the nature of some conditions, we see patients regularly and I enjoy providing continuity of care and building a positive rapport with patients.
Alongside being a busy mum, she enjoys walking the family’s flat coat retriever, yoga and gardening. She loves being by the sea and the respite it gives.
