Dr Anthea Pinder joined the MSG in 2016 from Northampton General Hospital where she worked as a Consultant anaesthetist with a special interest in obstetric anaesthesia.
Born and educated in South Africa, she began her training in anaesthesia at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, before moving to complete it in the UK.
Dr Pinder has considerable experience in a range of areas of anaesthetics, including obstetrics, general surgery, urology, ENT/maxillofacial and emergency surgery. Her special interests lie in obstetric anaesthesia, patient safety, appraisal and educational supervision.
She is on the GMC’s specialist register and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Anaesthesia.
