Dr Matthew Clark joined the MSG in 2022 from New Zealand where he was a consultant in medical oncology at Christchurch Hospital.
He trained at Imperial College London, completing his specialist oncology training in 2014, since when his career has taken him to the John Hopkins International Medical Centre in Singapore, to Shanghai in China, to Bermuda and to New Zealand, as well as some of London’s leading teaching hospitals.
Dr Clark specialises in breast cancer, lung cancer, prostate cancer and predisposition genetics (the hereditary risk of getting cancer). In Singapore he set up a cancer predisposition genetics service, allowing screening and preventative action for high-risk patients and their affected family members.
Outside work Dr Clark enjoys watching and playing football and tennis, reading and a good cup of coffee.
