Kathleen gained her nursing degree in 2010 after training for three years locally and then enjoyed more than ten years as a community nurse. She joined the MSG nursing team in 2020 to expand her nursing knowledge and career and says she feels lucky to be part of such a knowledgeable and supportive team.
Being able to support people in their health care journey, not only physically, but emotionally, is something she finds particularly fulfilling. She says it’s a privilege to care for people, particularly when they are at their most vulnerable, and she takes pride in good communication to put people at ease and build their trust.
A large part of her role is seeing patients pre and post op, providing information and nursing care during; what can be an anxious time, and including caring for couples and individuals on their fertility journey.
Outside work, Kathleen enjoys walking, horse riding, kick boxing and competing in local motorbike trials.
