Jayne worked as a practice nurse for 20 years in Guernsey, Jersey and then the UK. Moving back to Guernsey she wanted to remain in an outpatient setting but also felt that it was time for a change and to learn new things so she joined the MSG in 2018.
She sees a wide variety of patients with ear, nose and throat problems including those with head and neck cancer. Her role is largely supporting these patients and providing information and she finds it fulfilling to support patients through what can potentially be a difficult time.
She came into the role with a wide knowledge of wound care which she was able to pass on to her colleagues which in turn benefits the patients.
Outside work Jayne spends her time walking her dog, looking after elderly parents, singing in a choir and eating out with friends
