Mr Nicolas Watson joined the MSG in 2016 from Great Yarmouth where he was a Consultant Ophthalmologist and an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of East Anglia.
He has also worked in Aberdeen (including Orkney and Shetland), Birmingham, Ipswich, Portsmouth and Windsor.
After attending Bristol Grammar School, Mr Watson studied medicine at Southampton University and went on to undertake specialist training in Ophthalmology. His particular interests are paediatric ophthalmology and cataract surgery.
With ophthalmology in the NHS becoming more sub-specialised, Mr Watson identified the role in Guernsey as one where he could continue to deliver hands-on care across general ophthalmology and one which presented him with variety and new challenges to allow him to build on his strengths.
You can refer yourself to Mr Watson as a private patient without a GP referral.
