Dr Ridha is based in Brighton and visits Guernsey to treat and care for patients here for one week each month.
After graduating with first-class honours from the University of Wales College of Medicine, Dr Ridha obtained a post-graduate Doctor of Medicine degree from Imperial College London focusing on diagnostic tools for the early detection of Alzheimer’s disease and potential novel treatments. He has worked as a Consultant Neurologist at Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals for 10 years and has been a visiting consultant to Guernsey since November 2021.
In addition to working as a general neurologist, he has particularly supported motor neurone disease, multiple sclerosis and headache services, including the establishment in Brighton of a dedicated botulinum toxin injection clinic for the treatment of chronic migraine.
Dr Ridha holds an honorary Consultant Neurologist and Senior Lecturer positions at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery and University College London, where he supports clinical trials looking for potential treatments for Alzheimer’s disease.
Outside work, Dr Ridha very much enjoys year-round outdoor swimming and loves travelling in search of the perfect beach. He enjoys learning foreign languages and is currently learning Spanish.
