Vicky joined the MSG in 2021 and cares for a variety of acute and chronic ophthalmology patients across all age and social groups. She carries out pre-appointment testing to aid consultants in patient diagnosis and treatment, and provides support during procedures such as minor operations.
She enjoys learning new and complicated technical skills that improve the treatment of patients and the feeling that she is contributing to society and having a positive impact on patients’ quality of life
Working with a small team of supportive colleagues, a nice group of patients, and a good work/life balance are all aspects of the role that appeal to her.
Vicky has two Honours degrees (BA (Hons) Nursing and MA (Hons) History), both earned while working in customer service, showing her ability to study, process information and be able to communicate it to a variety of people.
Outside work Vicky plays as a member of a local covers band and is a keen reader.
